A true best-of-class parka. Our version of the US M-51 is a generously proportioned multi-functional Fishtail that also provides water resistance. The shell has a certain snap (when pulled between the hands) reminiscent of the original 1950s military issue but with nylon content that enhances durability while reducing weight. A detachable quilted liner with knitted wool lined hood and rib knit cuffs instantly serves as a 2nd jacket. Taking its cues from the original M-51 parka, many of the construction hallmarks faithfully remain. Every detail painstakingly considered and built to last. This is our most protective garment across a broader spectrum of weather.
